Tonight I went down to The Thirsty Dog to see The Plastic Pegs. Undertheradar listed their gig. I tried to get info on them, nothing. So I was keen to find out what these pegs were about.
Anthony, the bass player and vocalist told me briefly their story. Anthony and his band mate (guitar/vocals) became friends at the age of 4. The story really start before that, because their mothers were friends before they were born. They’ve been playing together since they were kids. Except they haven’t gigged as The Plastic Pegs for 35 years, ’til Saturday.
Tonight was a bit of a family affair because his son and nephews were part of the show.
