Live Nation has announced that genre-blending singer songwriter honestav will return to Australia and New Zealand in January 2027 with string of club shows, following his standout support slot on mgk’s tour earlier this year. These shows, part of the Sweet American Boy Tour, will give fans an opportunity to connect with him in intimate venues that capture his raw, emotionally charged, and deeply personal sound.
The shows kick off with The Rechabite, Perth on Saturday 16 January 2027, before heading to 170 Russell, Melbourne on Monday 18 January, Liberty Hall in Sydney on Wednesday 20 January, and The Triffid, Brisbane on Thursday 21 January, and wrapping up at Auckland’s The Tuning Fork on Saturday 23 January.
Mastercard cardholders have special access to presale tickets in Australia and New Zealand. Mastercard Presale starts Wednesday 17 June at 10am, concluding Friday 19 June at 9am. An artist presale will run from Wednesday 17 June, 10am until Friday 19 June, 9am. A Live Nation presale will commence Thursday 18 June at 10am, running until Friday 19 June at 9am.

About honestav
honestav (Avery Freeman) grew up the youngest of five in rural Missouri, split between a mother struggling with addiction and a cash-poor father. No A/C, no consistent food, no plan beyond surviving the next week. At fifteen he found his older brother dead from suicide.
He responded the only way he knew how: he channeled his grief and started recording. Over the next two years, he wrote and released more than 100 songs while moving furniture by day and recording until 4am.
His TikTok “Broke Boyfriend” series — a sketch comedy series he started on the platform — amassed over 160 million views and helped him build a large audience that fell in love with his personality and sense of humour.
In 2024, his father died by suicide. Av wrote “I’d Rather Overdose” on the drive home. That song changed everything, with 157.6 million streams and a presence on the Billboard chart. The MOD SUN remix peaked at #21 on Alternative Radio. 622K+ TikTok creates.
In March 2026 it was RIAA Gold Certified. One month later, the plaque was handed to Av on stage by mgk at the final show of their Australian arena run. A major cosign from one of alt rock’s most influential figures — and a signal that honestav has arrived in the genre’s mainstream.
