Five turned back the clock at The Trusts Arena in Auckland on Monday, 25 May, bringing a wave of late-’90s nostalgia and full-throttle pop energy to a crowd ready to relive one of the biggest eras in British pop music.
Reunited with all five original members — Sean Conlon, Ritchie Neville, Scott Robinson, Abz Love and Jason “J” Brown — the UK chart phenomenon returned with the swagger, harmonies and crowd-pleasing energy that made them one of the defining boy bands of their generation.
Across a career that has sold more than 20 million records worldwide, Five carved out a sound that mixed polished pop hooks with R&B and hip-hop influences, creating songs that still feel built for big crowds and loud singalongs.
For Auckland fans, the night became a trip through a catalogue packed with familiar anthems. Hits such as Keep On Movin’, Everybody Get Up, When The Lights Go Out, If Ya Gettin’ Down and Slam Dunk (Da Funk). These have long been central to the band’s live identity and remain the songs that instantly transport audiences back to the turn of the millennium.
Photographed by Greg Haver, these images capture a night where nostalgia met celebration, with Five proving that after all these years, the soundtrack of an era still knows exactly how to bring a crowd to its feet.
