Fremont Street resident band Alter Ego were playing Thursday night when Red Raven News photographer Leonie Moreland was checking out the nightlife at Downtown Las Vegas.
The band performed a great selection of rock covers from bands such as Bon Jovi, Metallica and AC/DC. The band members all had a great stage presence, and the musicianship was top notch.
The atmosphere at Fremont Street was that of a massive party. The canopy overhead is one massive video screen, covering the street and helping create the exciting atmosphere. The constant smell of THC was reminiscent of a stadium concert. Three stages with three bands playing simultaneously means that the party runs the entire length of the street. Casinos on every corner would entice punters to spend their money. Great, if you’re into that sort of entertainment. But for Leonie, the music was the focus of the evening.
Back to that music: Alter Ego rocked the joint and left the crowd shouting for more.
